I'm Sarah Noonan, an Irish-Australian artist based in Abu Dhabi. With a background in Art and Design and a career spanning the Built Environment, my work is a fusion of urban culture, architectural landmarks, and the dynamic energy of city life.

Growing up in Dublin and spending a decade in Limerick, I’ve always had a deep appreciation for Irish culture and its impact on everyday life. My academic journey began in fashion design, where I was a finalist in the Irish Persil Fashion Awards and featured in national publications. I later pursued postgraduate studies in business development, blending creativity with strategic thinking.

Over the years, my career has taken me through the worlds of retail, visual merchandising, property, and construction—ultimately leading to a role as ANZ Marketing and Communications Manager for a global engineering firm during my time in Sydney from 2006 to 2019. These experiences shaped my understanding of urban landscapes and the intricate relationship between people, culture, and the built world.

Now, through Your Urban Canvas, I bring cityscapes to life with intricate digital paintings that celebrate the unique character of global metropolises. Each piece captures not just the landmarks but the spirit of a place—its movement, history, and the stories woven into its streets.

Having lived in Abu Dhabi for nearly four years, I am inspired by the cultural diversity and architectural brilliance of the Middle East. My mission is to create art that resonates with city lovers, travelers, and those who cherish the beauty of urban life.
